I bought this book for my dad, he is 95 and a huge fan of anything Abraham Lincoln’s, here is his review:
Before reading this book, my favorite book on Abraham Lincoln was Citizen of New Salem by Paul Horgan, after reading Young Lincoln of New Salem I found out that Citizen of New Salem is the skeleton of which this new book by Sam Rawlins has put skin and flesh on it. You can feel yourself living and walking with “Abe” every step of his 6 years of life in New Salem.
I recommend this book to everyone interested in young Abe Lincoln
