I think of the writing I do as a sacred profession. Why is this? Over the course of my life, I have come to know God IS real. Receiving His word within my mind, has guided me throughout my writing career.
In writing what I feel compelled to write, the Lord lifts me up, inspiring me. In this way, my life serves a meaningful purpose each day.
In writing my new book, I wanted to communicate thoughts and feelings about life and death, directly from the words of Jesus Christ. From its first page, Naomi Larson narrates the story of her search for meaning in her own life, finding and embracing God in the process. Becoming a chaplain’s assistant in a hospice, she gets to know people who are dying, seeing how they face death and meet God. Through a series of stories that tug at the heart, we follow Naomi and her inspiring journey into the light. Down deep in my soul, I believe this is a book readers will not soon forget.
During the writing of Naomi’s Journey Into The Light, it was though I could hear the Master’s Voice speaking through its pages. Bringing people to the Lord through messages of hope has been an essential goal in my writing. The whole process of writing this book has truly been miraculous. In it I wanted to impact readers with some of what I have learned and experienced over decades in my own life.
Feeling the Spirit of God working though me is what inspires me in my writing. Over time, as I wrote my new book, I realized that His Spirit was writing it with me. That humbled me. In so many ways, this story became His Voice speaking through me.
